CTD – Connected Mobility – Privacy declaration

1- Introduction

CTD is a free application that offers C-ITS services (Connected Mobility) in Bordeaux and other European cities : Barcelona, Bilbao, Vigo, Thessaloniki, Newcastle, Copenhagen and Helmond. Those services aim to improve mobility in cities by providing information and advices to drivers.

2- Collected data

CTD collects data when an alert is shown to the driver. Collected data are the following:

  • GPS Location and speed
  • Nature of the alert
  • Icon and text displayed
  • Context in which the alert has been triggered
In 25% of cases (computed randomly), the application will hide the alert intentionnally and collect the same data. This allows to analyse the behavior of the driver facing a situation when s/he has been warned and when he hasn’t been warned, and in that way to measure the quality and effectiveness of the service. This evaluation mode is called « baseline ». When the « baseline » mode hides an alert, the application will show « Unavailable data ».
No data is collected if neither an alert is shown nor baseline mode is running. In that way, your GPS Location cannot be used for anything else than measuring the services quality.

3- Security

Alerts and advices displayed in the application do not invalidate the Traffic Laws. Traffic Laws must be respected at any time, whatever the application is showing.
